Writing is a recipe with a whole lot ingredients. I like to think of it as a 1,000 piece puzzle. There are so many pieces (each individual character, setting, mood, plot twist, etc.) that must fit perfectly together in order to create a full picture. It can take time to get all of the pieces together just right, but in the end it is worth it to see that beautiful masterpiece that you have created. While our puzzle is still in the work, though, we may need to ask for help on a few pieces here and there that we know we have been staring at for far too long.
