Genres. There are several genres and a great many subgenres. We all have our preferred genre and those novels from that genre that we could read five times in a row and still love. But reading and writing are two completely different things. We all know that. You may absolutely love history novels, but that doesn't mean that you will be an expert when it comes to writing and researching for your own or even that you will know where to begin. Sometimes it's helpful to just get a little advice from those who have gone before you on that genre that you are so passionate about.
